The Problem:

GKN Automotive operates in a highly regulated automotive manufacturing environment where quality control and consistent auditing procedures are essential to safety standards and production excellence.

They identified a significant gap: no standardised approach to auditing processes across their workforce. This meant inconsistency, unclear procedures, and potential quality issues.

Our Approach:

We conducted thorough needs analysis sessions with GKN stakeholders using Miro to identify key learning objectives. We established four critical competencies the training needed to address:

1. Understanding the fundamental purpose and value of audits in automotive manufacturing

2. Recognising the characteristics of successful audits and their impact on production quality

3. Following proper escalation procedures when issues are identified

4. Developing comprehensive documentation skills for audit findings

Building the Solution:

Articulate Rise Platform:
We built an interactive, responsive learning platform that breaks down the complex auditing process into clear, digestible components. The module addresses each learning objective through text, interactive elements, and multimedia content.

Vyond Animations:
Animation was essential to our instructional design strategy. We created animated scenarios demonstrating real-world auditing situations, allowing learners to visualise best practices and understand practical application. These sequences made theoretical concepts memorable and impactful.

Articulate Storyline Scenarios:
To ensure knowledge retention, we incorporated interactive scenarios simulating real-world auditing challenges. These practical exercises required learners to apply their new knowledge in contextually relevant situations, reinforcing key concepts and building confidence.
