We're excited to share our recent project with TBAC, a unique educational institution that required a tool that bridges multiple stakeholders from children, adults and people with SEND. Our goal was to create a dynamic, informative website that truly captures the essence of what makes TBAC great.

Project Brief

Duration:

5

Weeks

It was a significant challenge to design a website that effectively communicates with current students, potential students, parents, staff, and government authorities. Each of these user groups has unique needs and expectations, requiring a nuanced approach to web design that balances accessibility, information clarity, and engaging visual communication.

We began by conducting research with TBAC to understand the specific requirements of each stakeholder group. This informed our design strategy, ensuring that the website would provide a tailored experience for every visitor. Our team carefully mapped out user journeys, creating intuitive navigation that allows each user type to find the information most relevant to them quickly and easily.

Framer is our primary design tool, allowing us to create a responsive, dynamic website that adapts seamlessly across different devices and screen sizes. We focused on creating a clean, modern design that reflects TBAC's progressive approach to alternative education. The colour palette and graphic design elements were carefully chosen to communicate the centre's values of support, innovation, and individual growth.

Accessibility was a critical consideration throughout the design process. We implemented comprehensive accessibility features, ensuring that the website meets current web accessibility guidelines. This means the site is usable for people with various abilities, including those using screen readers or navigating with keyboard controls.

The user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design were meticulously crafted to create an intuitive, engaging digital experience. We used subtle animations, clear typography, and strategic information hierarchy to guide users through the site's content. Each section was designed to tell a part of TBAC's story, from their educational approach to their commitment to student success.

The result is a website that does far more than simply provide information. It serves as a powerful communication tool that reflects TBAC's mission, values, and commitment to supporting students through alternative education. It speaks directly to parents, inspires potential students, provides resources for current students, offers insights for staff, and demonstrates compliance to government authorities.
